Welcome!

Hi, I'm Dan, a Research Fellow at the University of Nottingham, based in Sheffield.I'm also PhD student working on the Cystic Fibrosis Trust-funded MAGNIFY Strategic Research Centre (SRC). I feel privileged to be able to combine my professional interest in health research with my personal, lived experience of cystic fibrosis (CF).

About me

I've worked in various health research-related roles for most of my career, at both academic institutions and third sector organisations. Most of my work has been in research project management and latterly, public involvement.Involvement is a real passion of mine and I have seen what it adds to research first-hand, both as a researcher and as someone with CF contributing my perspective.I enjoy helping people to share their lived experience and shape research that matters to them.

About MAGNIFY

The MAGNIFY SRC is exploring the use of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scanning of the lungs, in managing and monitoring CF and testing new treatments.My PhD is focused on the communication of MRI scan results between healthcare professionals and people with CF.
